THE INVISIBLE

When our presence was overlooked or went unnoticed, we may have learned to pull back and take up as little space as possible to avoid feeling like a burden.

We may have adapted by staying in the background, speaking only when invited, and assuming our needs would create inconvenience for others. This pattern may have formed to protect us from the pain of not registering, and our system can still treat being visible as unnecessary or risky.

Today this can show up as waiting for cues before speaking, feeling forgettable in groups, and holding back ideas until others lead.

Do

Choose one moment today to step forward without waiting to be picked. Share an idea before someone else does, enter a conversation instead of observing it, or voice a simple truth without shrinking your tone. Feel the wobble, breathe once, and let yourself take up space. This is how the nervous system relearns that your presence matters.
